Ok, enough of the newsreader-voice-over style biography. It's more than a little overblown, given that I'm building this site myself, and it's not like I'm being endorsed or promoted by another organisation.
There's not really much to say (at least not much that's not deathly boring...).
I'm one of the worship leaders at Cheadle Hulme Methodist Church, which is the church I've been a member of for about 15 years. I've moved around a bit over the years, but one way or another, I've always found my way back 'home'.
I've been writing songs since I started learning acoustic guitar at about 12 years old. To label all of my creations as 'songs' is a bit of an exaggeration. Some of them may still exist on cassettes in the back of cupboards, or gathering dust in lofts, but for the large part I would appreciate it if those who have them would keep them there.... There's a few I recall fondly, but most weren't all that great.
Over the last few years, the arrival of kids (Ben and Toby), and my career as a software developer pushed the whole music thing firmly to one side. In the last year though, I've been rekindling the songwriting while playing in a couple of worship groups, (at Cheadle Hulme and at Elmwood Church in Salford), and an informal trio with a couple of good friends - Andy and Yvie.
I decided to build the site to promote my newer material after receiving a number of positive comments. I'm not really trying to shout from the rooftops, but rather, this is a "Here I am, this is what I do - take it or leave it" website. I'd be thrilled if people like the songs well enough to use them, but I'm not expecting or demanding anything.
Thanks for visting.
