I'm pleased to say that Holy Holy Holy has been recorded and put up on the ResoundWorship.org site. It's a slightly tweaked melody to the version I have on here, so I'll be redoing my demo at some point :) Take a listen - the guys have done a cracking job with the arrangement.

Another gig coming up! I'll be playing two slots at NXT's Adoration 09 Festival in Stoke on 4th July. It's a two day festival with names like Matt Redman, Hillsong London, YFriday and London Community Gospel Choir on the bill. Check it out, and it'd be great to see you there!

I had a great time playing at ECG, Llandudno and I thought I'd share a couple of videos of the gig. They're up on YouTube. The camera's mic picked up the sound of the coffee machine a bit louder than it actually was, but that's the price you pay for great coffee!

It seems ages since I posted a news story on the site, and now I have two or three things to add all at once! Firstly, Greater Saviour is now finished, and live on the Resound site. I recorded it with Blin, Martin and Yvie so I've put the recording on here too.

I just had confirmation this week that "Before the First (So Glorious)" has been chosen to go in the Spring Harvest Praise 2009 book, along with 4 other Resound songs. I'm really excited about it - not because of any delusions of impending stardom, but simply because it's a mark of approval that a neutral organisation has decided that it's good enough!

Finally, I've been invited to play an acoustic set at ECG this year, so if you're there, I'll be playing in the coffee shop on the Saturday night. If you're passing, drop in and say hi!

I'm really psyched to let you know that 'Glorious' AKA "Before the First (So Glorious)" has just been released on the RESOUNDworship website. They've got a great full band (including Pipe-organ!) arrangement and all the chords, lyric and lead sheets available. In recognition of the work they've done with it, I'm going to be taking the music down from my site, and I'd ask that, if you like it, you go to Resound and download it from there.

I was recently invited to be interviewed on the Mike Shaft breakfast show on BBC Radio Manchester. We had an informal chat about songwriting, worship leading and the RESOUNDworship project, and they asked me to play "So Glorious" live. As I've been doing a fair amount of ad-hoc graphic design work lately (mainly for family, friends and church) I've decided to consolidate that into a new project called Ascent Creative. In essence, I'm offering to do design work for free and just pass over the costs I incurr (printing, delivery, web hosting). There's more info on my 'vision' for Ascent here.

I've been invited to join the songwriting team at RESOUNDWorship.org. It's a free resource for worship leaders and churches to find new songs for use in worship. The songs are rigourously critiqued and revised with a team of songwriters and theologians. It's an exciting prospect to be getting involved, but mainly, this is a plug for them. Go take a listen and see what you think. There's loads of great material there.
